What Does Bcc Mean? – The Full Answer
Bcc is an abbreviation that stands for Blind Carbon Copy.
It is primarily used in email to conceal the person or persons entered in the Bcc field from the other recipients of the message.
Bcc can be used for a number of purposes, including to:
- Prevent an unintentional “Reply To All” from sending a reply to the entire recipient list.
- Send a copy of an email to a third party when you don’t want the recipient to know this is being done.
- Send a message to multiple people when each recipient shouldn’t be identified to the others, e.g. a mailing list.
